Ninjas In Pyjamas’ REZ Talks About The Dust 2 Changes

Fredrik Sterner, known as “REZ,” is a 23-year-old Swedish CS:GO player who has been playing under Ninjas In Pyjamas jersey for over four years. Previously, he was playing for Epsilon eSports.
Since the introduction of Dust 2 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the map is criticized by the community for being able to kill or damage the enemies at the beginning of the round, thanks to the gap between the mid doors that can be seen from T base.
While some of the players had to give their lives or health in order to cross the B bombsite, the teams used their utilities to get through the mid doors in order to run towards the B bombsite safely.
Therefore, the community had been wanting a new change on Dust 2 for a while now. Recently, Valve released a brand new update that featuring a Dust 2 change, where they put a giant wall on top of the dark area that prevents T’s to see the mid door.
REZ wanted to share his opinion about this change via Twitter and talked about the downs and upsides of this change.
In the tweet, REZ pointed out that the new Dust 2 has become an insane map right now, but he believes that Valve should give an option to the T side to check if any CT’s would cross the lower tunnel from mid doors.
REZ shared his opinion about the new Dust 2:
“This Dust2 is insane. I like that you cant spot the B-cross anymore, but you should definitely be able to see if CTs can push lower or mid in my opinion.”
