Niels Christian Sillassen, known as “NaToSaphiX,” is a 23-year-old Danish CS:GO player who had been playing for Nordavind since January 2020. Previously, he was playing for Heroic, Sprout, and more.

Nordavind made an official announcement yesterday and announced that they parted ways with NaTo, even though they did great results together.

In the statement of both Nordavind and NaTo, they were mentioning the different playstyles and philosophical approaches to the Counter-Strike, and they won’t be improving in the future. Becase of that, they wanted to part ways mutually.

Here is the statement from Nordavind:

“CSGO Roster Update: Despite some good performances lately and up until the player break, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that NaToSaphiX will step back from the active lineup.

The mutual decision comes after both parties realized that in order to further develop as individuals and a team, a change was needed due to different playstyles and philosophical approaches to the game of Counter-Strike.

Thank you for an amazing time and the dozens of highlights you have provided our fans so far.”

NaToSaphiX said:

“Since the inception of this particular roster it’s been a rocky road. We lost our IGL in Rubino shortly after putting the lineup together, which was quite unfortunate. Now, after extensive testing and despite some good results and improvements, we’ve realized that the opinions of the players differ too much to evolve into a championship winning team.

I wish my former colleagues best of luck in their future and hope they find a suitable replacement who more closely alligns with their idea of how to play CS:GO. A huge thank you to Nordavind for treating me so well during my time here and I am very grateful for the opportunity that they have given me!

I am from today searching for a new team where I can take over the role as AWP and I will be bringing the same hunger and positivity that has helped propel me to where I am today. Thank you for your continued support.”
