22-year-old Danish Rainbow Six Siege player Niclas Mouritzen, known as “Pengu” has been playing for G2 Esports since August 2018. Before that, he was playing for PENTA Esports. Currently, he is one of the most earning players in the Siege history with over $325.000 from the events.

On 19 December, while the G2 Esports’s doomsday continues, Pengu made a statement for the team.

Pengu said:

“I see a lot of people confused, and possibly even frustrated / mad with the current G2 situation. And all I ask of you is to not take it out on anyone in particular, we lose and win as a team, please stray away from attacking individuals. We all deserve to be here.”

CEO of G2 Esports, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiagos replied:

“I am as responsible if not more as anybody else. Blame it on me as well. We get out of this swamp together”

A fan named Dar replied:

“Nah, i don’t know. In my perspective Uuno and Kanto swap operators and roles too much since they’re both a fragging and that messed G2’s play. Also Uuno is statistically better than Cryn, but i feel like Cryn is more impactful than Uun. A support that can entry frag? Great.”

Another fan, named ObesePenguin said:

“You guys played your best and thats all we can ask for as fan. A lot of fans dont realize it takes time to bring new players in to a roster and get them up to speed and performing great. Keep grinding and you guys will be to your former selves again”
