Maurice Henriquez, known as “Fero,” was a 21-year-old American Call Of Duty player who had played for 100 Thieves, Team Envy, and Florida Mutineers. In his career, he earned over $150.000 from the events.

Today, the family member of Fero, Maurice, made a devastating announcement on his official Twitter account and saddened the whole esports community.

Even though they didn’t announce the cause of death, Maurice wanted to clear the air about Fero’s passing and stated that Fero did not suffer from depression and did not commit suicide.

Here is the official statement:

“This is Maurice’s, aka F3ro, family. We are saddened to announce his passing. We would like to state that he did not take his own life and he was not battling depression. We appreciate everyone’s love and support. We would also appreciate privacy at this time.”
