Ivan Kapustin, known as “Ubah,” is a 27-year-old Russian PUBG player who has been playing under FaZe Clan jersey for over two years. Before joining FaZe, he was playing for Natus Vincere.

However, FaZe decided to make roster changes back in April 2021 due to the unexpected performances from the team and benched Ubah, who loaned to Digital Athletics in May for two months.

Yesterday, the European organization announced the departure of Ubah from the team via Twitter and farewelled their long-time player. Also, Ubah shared his feelings about leaving FaZe Clan at the same time.

While FaZe Clan was wishing the best for their former player, Ubah pointed out that he has become a better player and a person in his time with FaZe Clan and thanked everything they have did for him.

Had great time playing for FaZe Clan achieved a lot, became better player, better person,” Ubah said goodbye to FaZe. “Want to say thank you to all the fans around the world. You are the best!”

“It was my pleasure to manage one of the world’s best players, and arguably the best player in 2019,” FaZe manager Luke Dainton said. “We wish you the best of luck with what you decide to do next in your career and hopefully this video showcases the send off ubah deserves.”

Here’s the official announcement from FaZe Clan:

Today we say farewell to our multiple time PUBG Champion, ubah. Thank you for the unforgettable memories, countless Chicken Dinners, and trophies during your time with FaZe Clan. We wish you nothing but the best in the rest of your career!”
