Patrick Hansen, known as “es3tag,” is a 25-year-old Danish CS:GO player who had played for teams like Heroic, Astralis, Cloud9, and more. Lastly, he was playing for the North American organization, Complexity Gaming.

es3tag started to make a name for himself with his performance at Heroic, and he immediately showed his true potential after joining Astralis. Following such success under the Danish organization, he wanted to build his legacy with Cloud9.

Unfortunately, Cloud9’s new ‘colossus’ project didn’t work out as intended, and he remained inactive until joining Complexity Gaming. However, the bad luck continued to follow es3tag as the organization parted ways with the roster after the inconsistent roster changes.

In the meantime, Ninjas In Pyjamas strengthened their roster by signing the Danish superstar Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, and they started to perform at the top level since then. Nevertheless, they have been struggling to find their permanent fifth members.

During this period, the Swedish organization continued to play with youngsters such as Erik “ztr” Gustafsson and Linus “LNZ” Holtäng. Even though they had a pretty good showing in the events, the community have been waiting to see the new rifler for a while.

Following the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, hltv’s Striker reported that Ninjas In Pyjamas is into signing es3tag to replace LNZ, which will be the second Danish player along with AWP player dev1ce.

Even though it is such an exciting rumor and report, neither Ninjas In Pyjamas nor es3tag released an official announcement yet. According to the report, es3tag will debut for the Ninjas at BLAST Premier Fall Final.

Here’s the rumored Ninjas In Pyjamas squad by hltv:

Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora
Hampus “hampus” Poser
Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz
Patrick “es3tag” Hansen

Ninjas In Pyjamas managed to reach the finals of Flashpoint 3 just after the addition of dev1ce, and they even won the Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Fall: Europe. At PGL Major Stockholm 2021, they lost against G2 Esports and were eliminated from the event.
