Nicholas Cannella, known as “nitr0,” is a 24-year-old American CS:GO player who had been playing under Team Liquid jersey for over five years. In his career, he earned over $900.000 from the tournaments.

After the addition of Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip in December 2018, Team Liquid become the best team in the world, led by nitr0. They won ESL One: Cologne 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 – Finals, Intel Grand Slam Season 2, and more.

Following the bad results in late 2019 and 2020, Team Liquid decided to part ways with the captain of the team and their coach, Eric “adreN” Hoag. Also, nitr0 said goodbye to his teammates by writing an emotional letter to them.

Afterward, nitr0 stated that he will be stream more often since he has lots of free time after his departure from Team Liquid. In most of his streams, nitr0 played Riot Games’ newest FPS game, Valorant.

According to ESPN, lots of North American organizations reached out to nitr0, and he is most likely to become a streamer/player in Valorant. If the rumor happens, nitr0 will be another CS:GO player who switched to Valorant like Matthew “Wardell” Yu, Braxton “swag” Pierce, Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas Colocho, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and more.

Right now, the North American Valorant scene is dominating by two teams, Team SoloMid and Sentinels, Cloud9 and Gen.G Esports are two of the closest teams to them. In the Europe, there is clear domination from G2 Esports.
