Lucas Tao Kilmer Larsen, known as “Santorin,” is a 24-year-old Danish League Of Legends player who has been playing under Team Liquid jersey for over eight months. Previously, he was playing for FlyQuest.

On the last match of LCS Summer 2021 regular season, 100 Thieves faced Evil Geniuses and decided to play with their academy roster because they wanted to give extra time to the main roster to prepare for the playoffs.

This was quite an unexpected decision by the 100 Thieves, and some of the community was impressed by this decision. However, Santorin didn’t like the idea of throwing away some points where it could affect other teams.

Because if 100 Thieves played with their main roster and won against Evil Geniuses, the standings between 3, 4, and 5th team could have changed. Most likely, Cloud9, who could become the 3rd team in the standings.

Santorin said that even though he supports the idea of giving academy players a chance to play in LCS, this wasn’t a good time to do it. According to Santorin, 100 Thieves disrespected Cloud9 with this roster change.

Santorin said:

“Usually I would agree with giving academy players stage time but you’re doing it while it could affect the standings / seeding for playoffs AND it’s played from home.. honestly pretty disrespectful especially for C9 who could potentially be affected the most from this decision.”
