Jaccob Whiteaker, known as “yay,” is a 22-year-old American former CS:GO player who had played for teams like Complexity Gaming, Swole Patrol, and more. In September 2020, he announced his retirement from the game.

As yay announced his retirement from CS:GO, he switched to Valorant and joined Andbox. He had been playing for the North American organization until yesterday because Team Envy added yay to their squad.

Team Envy announced the transfer by sharing a new post on their official Twitter account and welcomed their new player. At the same time, they announced the benching of Anthony “mummAy” DiPaolo.

Moreover, yay will be playing his debut match under Team Envy jersey in next week’s VCT Masters’ playoffs. With the new roster, Team Envy is looking forward to qualify for the main VCT event in Berlin.

Team Envy is now:

Pujan “FNS” Mehta
Victor “Victor” Wong
Austin “crashies” Roberts
Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker
Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen (loan)

Here is the official announcement from Team Envy:

“They’re not ready. Welcome El Diablo, yay, to Envy Valorant! Going forward, mummAy will be moved into a reserve role with the team. Yay will be joining the starting roster next weekend in VCT Playoffs.”
