Eric Hoag, known as “adreN,” is a 31-year-old American former CS:GO player who had played for teams like Team Liquid, Mythic, and more. In December 2018, he started his coaching career with Team Liquid.

Even though adreN and Team Liquid created one of the best storylines in the scene, the team was falling short in the tournaments, and the organization parted ways with their coach in August 2020.

However, the veteran coach returned back to the team in May 2021 and help Team Liquid to perform. After he joined, the roster played much better in the events and they recently managed to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm.

Unfortunately for Team Liquid, adreN announced via his official Twitter account that he won’t be participating in the PGL Major. During this period, the team manager Steve “jokasteve” Perino will be standing in for him.

Furthermore, the 31-year-old coach revealed why he won’t be there with his team by saying that he is expecting a baby, which the timing matches with the tournament, and showed his excitement for this great news.

adreN announced:

I will be sitting out the major due to the upcoming timing of my son’s birth. Jokasteve will be taking over the reigns while I’m gone. 1st major in over two years AND with a crowd is going to be so hype. I’m sad to be missing it but I would never miss this moment with Morg Hoag.”
