Lucas Tao Kilmer Larsen, known as “Santorin,” is a 24-year-old Danish League Of Legends player who has been playing under Team Liquid jersey for almost a year. Before that, he was playing for FlyQuest.

Recently, Riot Games released 11.21 patch notes that featuring lots of balancing changes. One of the most important changes happened to the chat feature in the game, which Riot Games limited to the team-only chat just to reduce the toxicity in the game.

Following the update, Santorin took his official Twitter account to share his opinion about the new chat feature and explained why he didn’t like it at all even though it might help lots of people to reduce stress.

As Santorin said, he felt much better playing League Of Legends when he turned down the all-chat feature, but he believes that Riot Games should leave the option for the players as they can do it by themselves with one click.

On the other side of the coin, Santorin pointed out that there are some players and friends who interact with each other during the game on all-chat, which is the biggest downside of this update.

Santorin wrote:

“It’s honestly kind of crazy that ever since I removed team chat and all chat, I’ve enjoyed playing league so much more. And to top it off Riot will remove all chat for everyone, when you can already remove it yourself if you don’t like it, so why punish the ones that do like it?

And for the people that argue it’s good to remove all chat because of toxicity, why is all chat being removed instead of team chat? At least from my experience team chat is 10x worse than all chat.”
