Cédric Guipouy, known as “RpK,” is a 31-year-old French CS:GO player who had been playing for Team Vitality since October 2018. Before that, he had played for Team Envy and G2 Esports.

Yesterday, Team Vitality announced that they decided to bench RpK following the unexpected results in the tournaments and also revealed that they added 22-year-old French player Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van.

As RpK mentioned that he will leave the team after the Blast Premier Showdown event, the new blood of the roster Kyojin said that he is so grateful for the opportunity and ready to give everything for the team.

Here is the official announcement from Team Vitality:

“After Blast Premier Spring Showdown, RpK will step back from his active player position. It’s not an easy decision for the team, and we’ll support him as much as possible in his future challenges. For now let’s celebrate Le Tank’s during this upcoming competition!

Stepping in after the Blast Premier Spring Showdown as our new 5th man, please allow us to introduce the young and extremely talented Kyojin! We cannot wait for you guys to support him fully under his new colours!”

RpK on his depature:

“Unfortunately, Blast Premier Showdown will be my last tournament with the team. I’ll give my best this week for the boys and Team Vitality.

After that, I’ll take some time off and think about what I’ll be doing in the future. Thanks all for the support, I’ll keep you updated.”

Kyojin said:

“Thanks Team Vitality for the opportunity, I’m ready to give everything for the team.”
