Gabriel Mirelez, known as “LaXInG” had played teams like Counter Logic Gaming, Cloud9 and more. Currently, he is playing for Team Reciprocity since January 2019. On 18 May, when the Pro League goes on, LaXInG criticizes the elimination format at Pro League.

LaXInG said:

“Pro league finals should be double elimination. Loser bracket has to climb all the way back and reset the bracket. Then at least the winner will still have a chance of losing and still winning. Make the event 3 days long and last day is incase of reset for time consumption.”

Stuart Ewen replied:

“True double elim would add minimum 2 days to the schedule. 3 if you wanted to give the LB finals winning team a break. That team has a risk of playing 3x Bo3 in one day otherwise.”

LaXInG replied:

“No I completely understand, it just sucks seeing teams put tons of time in and fly across the country to have a chance of losing one game and completely getting eliminated”

Stuart Ewen:

“I get what you’re saying, just wanted to explain the implications it has on a schedule/event a bit more.”

G2 Esports player Pengu joined to the conversation:

“And this is the sad part, its super costly and extends the work of everything, and I think we all realise that its not “feasible” but DAMN I wish we lived in a world where it didnt cost organisers money for double elim, I wish there was a simpler way”
