Lee Sang-hyeok, known as “Faker,” is a 24-year-old South Korean League Of Legends player who has been representing T1, formerly known as SK Telecom T1, for over seven years. In his career, he earned over $1.400.000 from the tournaments.

Faker and his colleagues had a rough start in 2020. First, they were eliminated in the semifinals of KeSPA Cup against SANDBOX Gaming and only granted $8.573 from the event. However, they stepped up as everybody expected.

In April 2020, they played pretty well in the Spring season of LCK 2020 and managed to earn the tournament against Gen.G Esports as well as $81.000 prize money, even though they finished the group stage in the second place right behind Gen.G Esports.

Unfortunately for T1, the honeymoon ended quickly after only one month. In the next tournament, which is Mid-Season Cup 2020, T1 couldn’t perform well and stood in the last place of Group A. They won only one match against FunPlus Phoenix and lost against Top Esports and DAMWON Gaming.

Furthermore, the poor performance continued in the LCK Summer 2020. They pass the group stage off the tournament in the fourth place and got eliminated against Afeeca Freecs in the first playoffs with the 1-2 scores in the series.

Following these results and having only one tournament with a trophy, Faker could not get any prize money as a world-class player. Right now, he could only earn $18.375 from the four tournaments that Faker attended in 2020.
