The Most Wondered Question In Valorant: Phantom Or Vandal? Here Is Why ScreaM Uses Vandal More

If you ever played Valorant for a game, you should know that every player on the server has access to the same weaponry. As it is on every other FPS game, assault rifles are the most important guns in Valorant.
However, there is a lot of controversy around two of the assault rifles in the game, Vandal and Phantom, and they both have downsides and benefits. Because of that, players need to select the weapon for their needs.
The players such as Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom are mostly using Vandal because of their consistent aim, but there are also lots of professional players who use Phantom over Vandal because of how easy the weapon is.
As you might already know, ScreaM has been mostly using Vandal in lots of the maps, but he sometimes prefers to use Phantom if he plays in the positions where he needs to hit close-range shots.
Furthermore, the new map Breeze recently announced, and it is the map that will feature lots of long-distance gunfights. Because of that, ScreaM announced that he will play with Vandal from now. However, he will most likely use Phantom in some scenarios on other maps.
Why You Should Play With Vandal
Vandal is the weapon that could give you satisfaction with its gun sound, and you can feel the adrenaline when you go for the one taps as Team Liquid player Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom does all the time.
In fact, it’s normal to feel like that because the Vandal has been made to one-shot the enemy at any range. It has no damage reduction from range and deals 160 damage to the enemy if you land a headshot.
However, there are only 25 bullets in Vandal that you might find yourself in trouble if you push your trigger so much, and the spray pattern is pretty hard compared to the other guns. Also, it has a lower fire rate to burst your enemies.
Because of that, Vandal should be used for only headshots and burst fires, where you shot only 3-5 bullets per click. Also, the gun gives you more benefit if you fight in the long range because you won’t be losing any damage by distance.
When To Use Phantom And The Benefits Of The Gun
Unlike Vandal, Phantom is a silenced assault rifle, which means that your bullets can not be traced and can not be heard from the enemies in a long range. Besides that, the gun itself has lots of advantages and downsides.
Phantom’s damage is being reduced by the distance. If you headshot your enemy, it will deal 156 damage in 15 meters, 140 damage in 15 to 30 meters, and 124 damage for 30 to 50 meters. Because of that, it would be better to use it in close range.
Moreover, the gun has more fire rate compared to the Vandal and has an easy spray pattern to control. Also, it has 30 bullets in the magazine, so it would be more beneficial to spray your enemies even through smokes because they couldn’t trace your bullets as well.
For short and mid ranges, the Phantom could give you more advantages compared to Vandal because of the damage output per second and it will one-shot the enemy if you hit a headshot.
