Twitch streamer and content creator for Team SoloMid who is known for his creative and intelligent playstyle in Rainbow Six Siege, Macie Jay, took his official Twitter account to share his opinions about the upcoming droning feature in the game.

As you might already know, Ubisoft recently revealed the new operation, North Star, featuring a new operator Thunderbird as well as the balancing changes. But, the most controversial change was being able to use drones even after being dead.

While most of the professional players and community was saying that this feature is the only downside of the whole patch notes, they also mentioned that this will reduce the skill gap between the players.

However, it seems like Macie Jay is one of the few people in the community that liked the new idea of droning. According to his statement, this update will make the current meta of the game even better.

Macie mentioned that the game is already defender-sided right now, this feature might able to help attackers to have more control in the game. Also, Macie pointed out that this change will create more playtime even if you die early in the round.

Here is what Macie Jay said:

“I love the concept of droning after death; the game is insanely defender sided and this will buff attack far more than defense. This game has a ton of down time and this change will create more play time, you can already influence rounds on cams when dead, just a little more now.”
