Two Of The Virtus.pro Rainbow Six Siege Players Tested Positive For Coronavirus – They Are Out Of Six Invitational

Alan “Rask” Ali is a 22-year-old Russian player who has been playing for Virtus.pro since May 2020, and the substitute player and analyst Andrey “Andreezy” Bavian has been representing Virtus.pro for around a year.
Yesterday, Rainbow Six Siege Esports’ official Twitter account released an official statement and announced that two of these players are tested positive for coronavirus.
Because of that, the organization could not bring their players to the Six Invitational due to the safety precautions, which leads their forfeit from the tournament even before it started. Also, the format of the Six Invitational will slightly change because of this decision.
Here is the official announcement from Rainbow Six Siege Esports:
“Unfortunately, two members of Virtus.pro have tested positive to COVID-19. We wish them a speedy recovery and hope they get back to competing soon. In order to ensure the safety of all participants and staff, this means that Virtus.pro can no longer compete at the Six Invitational.
The team will receive 1% of the total prize pool, corresponding to a 19th to 20th ranking in the competition…”
