Sanjar Kuliev, known as “SANJI,” is a 22-year-old Uzbek CS:GO player who has been playing for Virtus.pro since December 2019. Before that, he had been playing for AVANGAR and Syman Gaming.

Virtus.pro performed really well in 2021, but it has been rough for the past few months for the CIS squad. Even though they found a ticket for the PGL Stockholm Major 2021, they managed to do it with their early performances.

Therefore, the organization decided to make roster changes in order to get the best result possible for the major, and they decided to bench SANJI from the squad as they add Evgeny “FL1T” Lebedev.

Furthermore, Virtus.pro CEO Sergey Glamazda revealed that the roster change is not made for permanent purposes, and the future of the team will be determined after the PGL Stockholm Major ends.

“We want to achieve the best possible result, and in order to do so the team needs a new impulse,” CEO announced. “An opportunity to play with Evgeny arose and we decided to seize it. We hope that this will be the impulse we need to play at the peak of our abilities.”

“No decisions regarding the future of our roster have been made for now,” CEO also made a statement about the future of the roster. “Everything will be clear after the Major when the dust is settled.”

Virtus.pro is now:

Tımýr “buster” Tólepov
Alekseı “qikert” Golýbev
Dzhami “Jame” Ali
Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis
Evgeny “FL1T” Lebedev

The CIS team will be competing at PGL Stockholm Major 2021 at the Contenders Stage following the roster and RMR changes, and their first match will be against the Brazilian squad, PaiN Gaming.
