After standing in the mid and bottom of the leaderboard of LCS for the past two years, 100 Thieves decided to sign four of the Golden Guardians roster in 2021 and made a fresh start to LCS.

They made amazing performances on the rift in both Lock-In season and Spring season compared to the last two years, but the roster couldn’t deliver because of the problem they had in the mid lane.

100 Thieves finished the lock-in tournament as a 3-4th, and the Spring season as a 4th team in the league, even though they had lots of changes in the mid lane. Since the end of the season, they have been looking for a new player.

Last month, the North American organization finally announced via Twitter that they agreed with European mid-laner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and welcomed their new mid laner on social media.

Who Is Abbedagge And What They Did In The Last Split?

Felix “Abbedagge” Braun is a 21-year-old German player who had been playing under Schalke 04 Esports for over two years. Previously, he had played for Royal Bandits and Team Vitality Academy.

Abbedagge was an important piece of the puzzle for the Schalke 04 Esports for the past two years for their success, and they managed to finish the LEC as the 4th best team following the G2 Esports, Rogue, and Mad Lions.

During the playoffs, Abbedagge, Broken Blade, and Neon were three of the eye-catching players for Schalke. In the semifinals, they lost to G2 Esports with impressive performance.

Afterward, they matched Fnatic, who is one of the best teams in the LEC, and Schalke managed to beat the team with a clean sweep. However, they lost to Rogue in the next match and become the 4th team in LEC.

LCS Summer 2021 And 100 Thieves

100 Thieves has one of the best jungle players in the LCS, Can “Closer” Çelik who proved himself in the rift this year, and they have a deadly duo in bot lane Victor “FBI” Huang and Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun who delivered the past split.

Also, their Korean top laner Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho had been showing consistent performance during the Lock-In and Winter split. However, their mid laner Tanner “Damonte” Damonte was lacking.

The addition of Abbedagge should bring more confidence to the roster because having a LEC mid laner who has a high skill level is the only thing 100 Thieves needed in the next season.

If they could improve their macro gameplay, communication, and decision-making, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them winning the summer split right now because they are now one of the contenders for the trophy with this addition.
